Ex-Mother-in-Law
Bought me and my wife two tulips for Valentines Day, already grown and needing to be transplanted. I have no idea what the hell to do with Tulips. In two years, I’ve only read/looked up about edible stuff…………now I gotta figure out where to plant these amongst the garden plants and have found zilch in the way of ‘companion planting’ for them.
Anyone have a suggestion?

Most tulips are unlikely to bloom true in subsequent years. I don’t plant them except as annuals, because I don’t have the energy/means to dig them up in late spring and store them for re-planting in the fall. I use pansies or violas as companions.
